Aims and
Objectives
- To promote teaching, research and
practice of Professional Psychology
- To create awareness and propagate the scope, as well as the advances
in the various fields of psychology.
- To formulate and advice on the
standards of education in psychology at all levels i.e. schools,
college, university and/or professional.
- To develop an objective and
practical approach in dealing with various psycho-social problems
faced by people and to make sure that they get professional help.
- To extend professional services to
all the areas related to psychology.
- To cooperate and work with other
professional and scientific bodies for the advancement of psychology.
- To advise the central government,
state governments and other bodies on the various aspects of
causation, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of mental
disorders and allied conditions, including legislative and
administrative matters, without affiliating with any political party.
- To prepare and publish papers,
periodicals, pamphlets etc. I the furtherance of the aims and
objectives of the association.
- To organize symposia, seminars,
workshops, conferences and exhibitions in order to acquaint lay people
of the facts and scientific principles of psychology.
- To serve as a bureau for collection,
compilation and dissemination of information regarding psychological
services and research in India and abroad through various mediums
including information technology.
- To cooperate and collaborate with
agencies and scientific bodies interested in the field of psychology
in and outside India.
- To purchase, acquire on lease, or
convert any moveable and/or immovable property required by the
Association.
- To manage, develop and improve,
transfer, sell or dispose off any property of the association.
- To receive donations and funds from
govt. agencies, public undertakings or individuals or institutes,
awards/prizes for any/all of the objectives of the Association.
- To do or get done all such other
lawful things and matters as are incidental or conducive to the
attainment of the above objectives, or any of them which are
subsidiary to the aid objectives.
- To raise funds for various social
issues and work towards them, with related government and
non-government organizations.
